Teams FAQs

Team up to help end addiction and recruit others to join you at the Shatterproof Rise Up Against Addiction 5K Run/Walk.

Teams have access to a variety of resources, including a team webpage and tools for recruiting and fundraising. If you have any questions or need help managing your team, please contact support@shatterproof.org

On the day of the event, teams can meet up in our team meeting area to make signs and take photos. We encourage teams to create t-shirts so you can proudly wear your team name and/or honor why you are participating. Plus, your team members will be much easier to find when they are all wearing the same thing.

Raise $10,000 or more to earn a tent in our Team Village

All teams that raise $10,000 or more, through sponsorship and/or fundraising, earn the opportunity to have a tent in the Team Village. This is a great opportunity to unite your team before and after the 5K. Many teams provide breakfast, style their tents with a fun theme, and distribute their team t-shirts from their tents.

Approximately 3-4 weeks before the event, qualifying teams will have the opportunity to request a team tent. All tents will come with one six-foot table, two chairs, and team sign. Additional tables and chairs can be purchased if ordered more than one week before the event.

The Team Village will also have a large area to take team photos by a professional photographer. Teams will be able to reserve a time to have the photo taken. All teams without a reservation or that miss their scheduled time will be first come first serve.

Raise $25,000 or more to earn a private portable toilet for your team in the Team Village

Raise $50,000 or more to earn a continental breakfast in your team tent

Raise $100,000 or more to earn the opportunity to start the walk portion of the 5K

All benefits are cumulative.

Top Fundraising Teams 

Top Fundraising teams will be honored at our recognition celebration after the event.

All donations received through December 31, 2017 will be included in your team’s final fundraising total for the year and make you eligible for the Shatterproof Hall of Fame. The final Top 10 teams for 2017 at each event and on a national level will be announced in January 2018.

Team Questions

What is the minimum and maximum number of participants on a team? 

There is no minimum or maximum to the number of people you can recruit to join your team!

Does every team member have to register? 

Yes, every team member who is planning on participating needs to register for the event to be recognized as a member of your team and be eligible for rewards.

What are the benefits of being a team? 

In addition to the fun that comes with participating together, teams are eligible for a variety of perks at the event including a team meeting area, team signs and team photos.

How do we fundraise as a team?

Every team member’s individual fundraising contributes to the team total. In addition, donors can donate to the entire team on the team fundraising page.
